Kurt M. Berger, Ph.D., is a patent attorney in the firm’s Electrical Patent Prosecution practice group. Representing a broad range of clients, Dr. Berger prepares and prosecutes patent applications for U.S. and foreign corporations in the fields of electronics, computers, software, networks, telecommunications, optical disc systems, medical imaging devices, and communications systems and standards. He is well versed in the most effective strategies for protecting cutting-edge innovations like medical imaging (including X-ray, CT, ultrasound and PET), artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet-of-Things (IoT), telecommunications standards and next-generation encryption. Dr. Berger earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University and his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin. He received his Master’s degree in Systems Engineering and his Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering and Economics from Case Western Reserve University.
